about
I worked on this for a couple of hours last night, as my 4 year-old periodically peeked her head in. It's a one-take kinda deal, right off the floor (my living room floor), complete with winter-hoarse voice. True to Covid, there's no bass player, though the old left-hand-on-trusty Roland keyboard does the trick. It's an unvarnished, unkempt hair & jammies kind of track that brought me huge amounts of joy to make. So I share it with you, to hopefully bring some light to your Covid Christmas, 2020.
It's free; instead of paying the usual 1$ for a track, maybe you could donate to your local food bank or shelter instead? Or just take it and enjoy.
Much love.

lyrics
There's a star in the East on Christmas morn
Rise up, shepherd, and follow
It will lead to the place where Christ was born
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
Leave your sheep, and leave your lambs
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
Leave your ewes, and leave your rams
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
Follow, follow
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
Follow the start of Bethlehem.
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
Iff you take good heed to the angel's words
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
You'll forget your flocks, you'll forget your herds,
Rise up, shepherd, and follow.
